Mekane Yesus Seminary Celebrates a Historic Day of Growth and Development

Mekane Yesus Seminary marked a major milestone today with the official inauguration of several new developments on campus, reflecting the seminary’s vision for growth, innovation, and sustainability.

These projects, made possible through strategic collaboration with investors, are designed to enhance the seminary’s infrastructure, services, and overall campus life.

 Today’s Highlights:

– Seminary Cafeteria – a modern, welcoming space for students and staff

– Rental Shops, including a pharmacy and other service outlets

– Car Dealership

– OLKAI Coffee Roasters – a world-class, one-of-a-kind coffee roastery bringing premium coffee experiences to MYS

– Cafe`

The program was opened with a prayer with Reverend Dr. Daniel Fete, Vice President of MYS leading the program. Reverend Dr. Misgana Mathewos, President of MYS, introduced the program, delivered the opening remarks, and shared insights about the vision and significance of the new projects.

The Seminary President also recognized and expressed gratitude to key contributors and partners, including:

The day’s ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Rev. Dr. Yonas Yigezu, officially inaugurated the new facilities and marked a new chapter in MYS’s journey of holistic growth.

Following the inauguration, invited guests, seminary leaders, and the seminary community toured the new facilities and observed ongoing campus projects, celebrating the seminary’s continuous development. The day concluded with a shared lunch, fostering fellowship and gratitude among all participants.
