Bible Translation and Ministry
The Bible Translation and Mission (BTM) program at Mekane Yesus Seminary was developed in partnership with Lutheran Bible Translators. This program prepares students to work in the field of Bible Translation as translators, project advisors, Scripture engagement specialists, and other related jobs. Graduates will be equipped with courses in linguistics, translation theory, Biblical exegesis, project management, and other related technical areas to serve alongside of Bible Translation projects working to bring God’s Word to Ethiopia’s 85+ languages. Bible Translation is offered as a concentration in both the B.Th. and MA level.
