The 16th Annual ASET Conference Begins at Mekane Yesus Seminary
The 16th Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Africa Society of Evangelical Theology (ASET) officially began today, 13 March 2026, at Mekane Yesus Seminary in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

This year’s conference is held under the theme “Hamartiology: Doctrine of Sin in African Christianity.” The two-day gathering brings together theologians, scholars, and church leaders from across Africa to reflect on theological scholarship and its relevance to the African church and society.
Hosted at Mekane Yesus Seminary, the conference will run from 13–14 March 2026 and features keynote presentations, breakout paper sessions, partner discussions, and networking opportunities for African theologians. The gathering also provides a platform for scholars to share research and engage in meaningful dialogue on the doctrine of sin within African Christian contexts.
The Africa Society of Evangelical Theology (ASET) continues its mission of fostering theological scholarship that serves both the African church and society. During the conference, participants will also hear announcements related to the society’s upcoming Langham Volume publication.
